A childhood among the gem fields
More than twenty years ago, our founder's father left home for the gem fields of Africa. His family followed. School days were spent in town; holidays at the mines, learning to tell a fine stone from an ordinary one long before anyone thought of wearing them.

Following the stone
After graduating, our founder spent years travelling to more than ten African countries, searching for stones and the people who mine them.

In Tanzania, the family built its own cutting workshop, sorting rough by colour and size and cutting it facet by facet.

Not every DIMIRA stone comes from Africa. Alongside the family's own trade, we work with trusted partners around the world, choosing each gem for its colour and character rather than its origin alone.

Finished in gold, by hand
Each stone is set by hand in S925 sterling silver by the long-standing workshop we partner with, then polished and finished in 18K gold plating.

Every DIMIRA jewel comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, and our gemstones are tested by an independent laboratory (CQIC), with a certificate number you can verify online.
